Palm Springs is known for its beautiful golf courses, amazing restaurants, art and culture…and of course, its heat! These summer months may be hot, but we are here to tell you that there are still so many fun things to do in the Palm Springs. Here are some activities that will get you out of the sun and beat that summer heat for your upcoming visit!
First, another well known fact about Palm Springs is that it’s home to some of the most amazing shopping in SoCal. The famous El Paseo shopping district, also referred to as “The Rodeo Drive of the Desert,” features over 300 world-class shops. From Saks 5th Avenue to individually owned boutiques, there are so many options for all the shoppers in your group. Keep in mind that the stores themselves will have air conditioning, but you have to walk outside between shops so of course bring water and plan accordingly.
There are also some great restaurant options to stop at too throughout the shopping day!
Another shopping option is Palm Canyon Drive located in Downtown Palm Springs. You can find more great outdoor shopping here as well as art galleries and restaurants. The River at Rancho Mirage is another great shopping option with lots of great restaurants to enjoy.
Of course, if you are looking for a fully indoor mall where the AC can be blasting all throughout your shopping trip, then be sure to check out Westfield Palm Desert. You will find plenty of shops, food options and even a movie theater for your entertainment.
If shopping isn’t your thing, don’t worry! Another great option to “escape” the heat is an escape room! There are options to fit the needs of your group, where children 8 and older are allowed to play with adult supervision. Make a fun memory with friends and family and challenge your brains to an escape room. Check out their website here for all the details.
We also want to highlight the Acrisure Arena! Another great option to beat the desert heat is to enjoy an event at this indoor arena. They have hosted some amazing and talented artists, with some amazing shows that are upcoming too. Make sure you check it out on your next visit to Palm Springs.
We hope this gives you some new and fresh ideas to beat the desert heat, and let you know that even though the weather is warm…there is still plenty to do in Palm Springs this time of year!
