Calgary International Airport to Panorama
Drive one of the world's great mountain highways through Banff and Kootenay National Parks. Roads are well maintained, year-round. The Calgary-Panorama drive takes about 3 1/2 hours, depending on road and traffic conditions. Travel time is approximately 3 1/2 hours. The distance is approximately 309 kilometers or 192 miles:
-From Calgary, travel west on Highway 1 (the Trans-Canada Highway) through Canmore and Banff.
-About 30km west of Banff exit the Trans-Canada at Castle Junction (at the end of the divided highway). Then take Highway 93 through Kootenay National Park towards Radium Hot Springs.
-After about an hour, arrive in Radium, turn south here and travel a few kilometers on Highway 93/95 to Invermere.
-At Invermere, you'll arrive at a set of traffic lights, with a Tim Hortons on your left. Turn right and drive through the outskirts of town past Lake Windermere.
-Just after the lake, you will cross a rail bridge. Take the next righ |
